Mission Appeals

Mission Appeals

Each year, each Religious Order/ Congregation, in England and Wales, is assigned dioceses by the Catholic Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales, to promote its mission works and life, and above all, to appeal for prayers and support for the particular needs and ministries of the Order/ Congregation.

Arrangements are made with each parish in the assigned dioceses for the best procedures to make the appeals. The Spiritan Mission Appeals Office carries out this administrative work for the province.

This support scheme has proved to be a vital financial lifeline for the mission and works of the British province at home and overseas.

The Spiritans are very grateful to the dioceses and parishes which have offered their support in this way. The Spiritans do, and will always commend you all to God at prayer, in all our Spiritan communities.

This year, 2012, the Spiritans have been assigned Hexham and Newcastle diocese and Portsmouth diocese for the Mission Appeals.
