Opposite the National Shrine of Scotland at Carfin, the Spiritan community for Scotland is the most northerly community of the Congregation worldwide. It is open for retreats, especially for young people, provides a much needed centre for councilling facilities for alcoholics and drug addicts, and serves as a base for Spiritan missionary animation, fund raising, and support and help for the local church in Scotland
